Here is the schedule for week six of high school football action in Record Publishing Co.'s weekly division coverage area:
Friday, Sept. 30
Medina Highland (4-1) at Aurora (4-1) -- The Hornets handed Aurora its only regular season loss last year. This game will have major implications in both the American Conference and Division II playoff races.
Hudson (4-1) at Cuyahoga Falls (1-4) -- These two long-time rivals face off with their respective seasons going in opposite directions.
Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy (0-5) at Massillon Tuslaw (1-4) -- Can the Royals finally put it all together to get into the win column?
Brecksville-Broadview Heights (5-0) at Nordonia (2-3) -- If the Knights want to turn its season around -- and have any hope of playoff football -- beating the Bees is an absolute must.
Stow-Munroe Falls (5-0) at Twinsburg (1-4) -- The Tigers have a tendency to play the Bulldogs tough. Stow must follow its mantra of "one game at a time," given what's coming up.
Copley (4-1) at Tallmadge (2-3) -- Coach Alan Vanderink takes on his former team, hoping the young Blue Devils can pull an upset.
Padua Franciscan (3-2) at Walsh Jesuit (1-4) -- Walsh's relentless schedule continues with a visit from a Bruins team looking to return to the playoffs.
Woodridge (5-0) at Cloverleaf (0-5) -- Woodridge put up 70 points last week. Cloverleaf has yet to score 30 in a game. The Bulldogs will be heavy favorites.
Saturday, Oct. 1
Columbus Crusaders (3-2) at Western Reserve Academy (5-0), 2 p.m. -- WRA continues to roll on. The Pioneers will welcome their second Columbus-based club team in as many weeks.
