Gobble chooses

Youngstown State

Jayson Gobble, a 2016 Stow-Munroe Falls High School graduate, recently made a verbal commitment to continue his academic and football careers at Youngstown State University.

Gobble, a tailback, led the Bulldogs to a 13-1 record and a trip to the 2015 Division I state semifinals.

Stow also won the Suburban League National Conference title.

Resident competes

at regional event

Stow resident Rachel Pitcovich, 15, a freshman at Stow-Munroe Falls High School, competed at the Ohio Gymnastics State meet March 18 in Niles.

Pitcovich placed first on bars and qualified for Team Ohio, which participated at the Region 5 Gymnastics Championship April 15 in Lexington, Ky.

Region 5 comprises Ohio, Kentucky, Michigan, Illinois and Indiana.

Pitcovich placed first on bars for Level 8 with a score of 9.725.
