Stow resident wins

Fox Den tourney

Stow resident David Trier won the 2016 Fox Den Course Championship after shooting a 3-under-par 69 in the final round last month.

Trier earned a four-shot, come-from-behind victory over Brian Smith of Amherst.

Stow resident Taylor Rising, 22, finished third and also had his first ever hole-in-one.

Rising recorded his ace on the third hole. He used a 7-iron.

Three days later, Rising made another hole-in-one on the same hole with the same club.

Stow resident Jack Vojtko, 10, also made a hole-in-one on the ninth hole. Jack used a 4-hybrid to record the ace. It was his second career hole-in-one.

Stow resident Dan Page won the 'A' flight, shooting a score of 160 (86-74). Vojtko and Stow-Munroe Falls' rising senior Jordon Jolly, 17, tied for second place in the 'A' flight with scores of 165.

Resident records ace

Stow resident Hubert Hopkins had a hole-in-one on the 193-yard, par 3 sixth hole July 19 at Silver Lake Country Club.

Hopkins used a 5-iron to record the ace.
