The Stow-Munroe Falls High School softball team and Tigerlillies travel team have set up a game a game to support coach Doug Hawkins, who recently was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), which is commonly known as Lou Gehrig's disease.
The game will take place Aug. 13 at 1 p.m. at Weddle Park and the surrounding softball fields, located at Stow-Munroe Falls High School at 3227 E. Graham Road.
All current and former players for the Bulldogs and Tigerlillies are encouraged to attend the game, as well as parents and friends. Donations and concessions will be available at the game with all proceeds going to help coach Hawkins.
T-shirts in maroon, purple and black supporting Hawkins (Kiss my ALS) are available to be ordered through Young's Screenprinting at shop.youngprinting.com/fightals. T-shirts will be available for pickup at the field on the day of the game.
In addition, silent auction/raffle baskets are being donated and will be available to be bid on at the game. All checks should be made out to Stow Booster Club.
