Local gymnasts excel at 'Luau' On the weekend of February 10 to 12, eight Stow gymnasts from Flytz Gymnastics competed at the "Luau in Leos" gymnastics meet at Kalahari in Sandusky. This meet hosts thousands of gymnasts from several states.

Heading to Mount Union -- in two sports

Stow-Munroe Falls senior Jeremiah Gyulai committed March 10 to continue his academic and athletic careers at the University of Mount Union in Alliance. Gyulai plan to play lineman for the Purple Raiders football as well as participat in throwing events for the Mount Union track and field squad.

Stow-Munroe Falls' Peyton Balawander, shown here at the district meet Feb. 25, earned a top 10 finish on floor exercise at state gymnastics meet March 4 at Hilliard Bradley High School. Balawander scored a 9.225 on the floor, earning her a ninth-place finish.
