9 families' holidays made brighter

For the second year in a row, the Stow-Munroe Falls City School District's central office will be helping out local families in need during the holiday season. The district's buildings have helped families in need annually, but last year the Central Office joined the efforts.

Nov. 5 was "Interaction 2016" at the Mayfield Church in Chesterland. It was hosted by the West Geauga High School Interact Club and the Rotary Club of Chesterland. More than 110 students and 25 Rotarians were in attendance and welcomed by District Governor, Jim McKee.

Boy Scout Pack 3169 decorated the playground blacktop at Highland Elementary School with painted designs during the weekend of Oct. 22. Stencils for the designs were purchased by the Highland Parent Teacher Association (PTA).

Enjoy Parents Night Out Stow Student Council wants to help parents enjoy a night out. On Dec. 3 from 6 to 9 p.m., parents can drop their children off at Stow-Munroe Falls High School where they will enjoy pizza, games and a movie. Children must be potty trained.
