Summit Metro Parks series on Gorge Dam kicks off in February

Beginning in February, Summit Metro Parks will host special programs every month in or about Gorge Metro Park, located in Cuyahoga Falls and Akron, where there is a push to remove an obsolete 105-year-old concrete dam.

Kelly's Grief Center announces two grief groups to begin in Jan.

Kelly's Grief Center announces that two grief groups will begin this month. All groups are at Acorn Alley II location, 135 Erie Street, Suite 302, Kent. Accidental Overdose (10 weeks) begins Jan. 23 and continues through March 27.

Guardian program seeks volunteers

The Volunteer Guardian Program shares it now has 100 volunteers to help the seniors and special need populations in Summit County, Since the implementation in July 2014, olunteer Guardians are making a huge impact.
