SUMMIT METRO PARKS PROGRAMS & ACTIVITIES FOR APRIL

Summit Metro Parks offers something for everyone, including the following programs and events:

April 2

Archery for Kids -- April 2, 10:30 a.m. to noon. Twinsburg Community Center, 10260 Ravenna Rd., Twinsburg. Children 9 to 15 will learn international-style target archery at Twinsburg's indoor range. Program good for beginning and practiced archers. All equipment and hands-on instruction provided. Must be 50 inches or taller. Advance registration required.

Nature Drawing for Kids -- noon to 1:30 p.m. & 2:30 to 4 p.m. F.A. Seiberling Nature Realm / Visitors Center, 1828 Smith Rd., Akron. Ages 6 to 12 join a naturalist-artist for this lesson in nature drawing. Paper and pencils will be provided. Advance registration required.

Archery for Adults -- 1 to 2:30 p.m. Twinsburg Community Center, 10260 Ravenna Rd., Twinsburg. Adults 16 and older can learn international-style target archery and test their marksmanship at Twinsburg's indoor range. Program good for beginning and practiced archers. All equipment and hands-on instruction provided. Advanced registration required.

April 5

Nature Drawing for Adults -- 10 a.m. to noon & 1 to 3 p.m. F.A. Seiberling Nature Realm / Visitors Center, 1828 Smith Rd., Akron. Join a naturalist-artist for this entertaining lesson in nature drawing. Bring a sketchbook, pencil and a sense of humor. Beginners are welcome. Advanced registration required.

All About Otters -- 4 to 7 p.m. Liberty Park / Nature Center, 9999 Liberty Rd., Twinsburg. Celebrate the return of river otters to local waters and learn about these playful creatures through interactive displays, fun activities and more. Nature center hours will be extended to 7 p.m.
