Letter: Woodland Elementary appreciates officers' efforts

Published:

Woodland

Elementary staff would like to thank the Stow Police Department for their wonderful response to keeping our children safe.

Officer Greene cam in on his day off. Sgt. Snavely and Officer Heim worked a double shift. Officer Schultz, a member of the SWAT team and Officer Murphy went above and beyond to make everyone feel comfortable coming to school.

From returning a child's hug and high 5s to being on the playground and eating lunch with the students, each of them did a great job in making the students feel comfortable with their presence in the building.

These officers were very helpful to us as adults in answering our questions on how to make our building a safe environment for learning. Also, how to make their job easier if their assistance is ever needed.

Once again, thank you to all of the Stow Police officers for being here when they were needed.

Brenda J. Harriss,

principal
