Rudy Stagl Sr., 80, died Jan. 31, 2013.

Born in Pisanica, Yugoslavia he came to the United States in 1951 and became a U.S. citizen in 1954.

He served in the U.S. Army and was active with the German Family Society where he served as president and vice president. He was employed by McNeil Akron and retired in 1979.

Preceded in death by a daughter, Lilly in 2006, he is survived by his wife of 57 years, Anna; daughters, Heidi (James) Chambers and Annette (Bob) Misbrener; son, Rudy P. (Amy); and grandchildren, Colin, Aaron, Alayna, Duane, Kelsey, Geena, Kristen and Marina.

Visitation and service was conducted at the Redmon Funeral Home. Interment was at Oakwood Cemetery with military services conducted by American Legion Falls Post 281.
