Gilda Cook, 83, of Stow, died Feb. 1, 2013.
Born in Cleveland and graduated from John Adams High School in 1948, she lived most of her life in Stow.
She enjoyed playing volleyball, gardening, dancing and walking for miles and miles. She also enjoyed working with the Leukemia Society of America, the Cancer Fund and March of Dimes.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Virginia Catullo; father, Patsy Catullo; and sister, Lillian Thomas. She is survived by daughter, Michelle (Steve) D'Amico; grandchildren, Maria and Joseph; sister, Loretta (Ed) Novotney; ex-husband and life friend, Ronald Cook; home health aide and friend, Kathy Claxton; and many nieces and nephews.
Pastor Jim Case conducted service at Redmon Funeral Home. Interment was at Crown Hill Cemetery.
