Richard L. Huntsman, 91, of Cuyahoga Falls, died Jan. 12, 2013.

He was born on Jan. 8, 1922 in Northfield and grew up in that area, graduating from Northfield High School in 1940. He was a veteran of World War II. He then took up residence in Cuyahoga Falls where he lived ever since.

He was proceeded in death by his parents Fred and Vada (Boswell) Huntsman; his wife of more than 62 years, Helen Teresa, who died May 7, 2007; sister, Maxine; three brothers, Harry, Clifford and Norman; and granddaughter, Melanie Huntsman. He is survived by his sons, Richard (Ellen), Donald (Evelyn) and Paul (Lori); seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

A funeral service was conducted in the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home in Cuyahoga Falls. Internment was at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Donations may be made to Disabled American Veterans, 1365 Krumroy Road, Akron 44306. His memorial video will be viewable at cliffordshoemaker.com.
