Bruce L. Riehl

Bruce L. Riehl, 63, of Stow, died Dec. 14, 2012.
Born in Akron, he was a lifetime Stow resident, attended Cuyahoga Community College, was a US Army Vietnam veteran and a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.
An iron worker with Iron Workers Local 17- Cleveland, he was a 39-year member, retired as their business agent and served on the Executing and Examining Boards. He was a member of Cleveland Building and Construction Trades Council, Tri-County Regional Labor Council AFL-CIO, Tri-County Building Trades and Construction Council and served as a precinct committeeman with the Summit County Democratic Party. Mr. Riehl was also a member of Portage American Legion Post 496 in Kent and Acker-Moore Memorial Post in Stow. An avid reader, he also loved being outside and working on his many projects.
Preceded in death by his father, Clifford, he is survived by his wife, Barbara; son, Matthew; daughter, Nancy (Russell) Bourne; mother, Rachel Riehl; and sisters, Nancy (Paul) Nay and Gail (Tom) Hura.
Visitation and funeral service took place at Redmon Funeral Home. Burial was at Stow Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Haven of Rest.
