Danced with Western Whirlers

Robert C. Querry, 71, of Stow, died Dec. 4, 2012 after a battle with Parkinson's disease and cancer.

He was born in Akron and last lived in Stow. He was affiliated with Hope Community Church of Hudson.

As music was a great part of his life, he performed with groups such as Canton Civic Opera, Fall Festival Chorus and the Choir at Trinity United Church of Christ. He also danced with Western Whirlers, a local square dance club and enjoyed many sporting activities, especially golfing and swimming.

He was retired from Firestone Tire and Rubber Co. and the U.S. Postal Service.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Constance (Gribble); daughter, Kimberly Kohl (Jack); sister, Linda Pence; sister-in-law, Cynthia Berger (Art); and nieces and nephews.

Services were at Copley United Methodist Church, with Pastor Jeff Schofield and the Rev. Becki Bowan-Verbridge officiating. Interment was at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Parkinsons Research Foundation, 5969 Cattleridge Blvd., Suite 100, Sarasota, FL 34232.

Billow Fairlawn Chapel handled arrangements.
