Lester George Dixon

Retired truck driver

Lester G. Dixon, 77, of Munroe Falls, died Nov. 28 at Maison Aine after a long, battle with Alzheimer's disease. 

He was born Jan. 15, 1937, in Glasgow, Pa. to the late Roy L. and Eldine L. (Boone) Dixon.

He retired from General Motors in Parma after 27 years service as a truck driver and press metal technician.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Catherine McGowan.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Elizabeth Ann (Yingling) Dixon; his daughter, Pamela (Anthony) O'Keefe of Stow; sons, Jeffrey (Darlene) Dixon of Hudson and Tracy (Cathy) Dixon of Munroe Falls; grandchildren, Stephanie (Brandon) Borak, Sarah DeLeo, Gary (Jill) Dixon, Joshua Dixon, and Ryan Dixon; great-grandson, Drew Dixon; sisters, Joann Kaylor, Shelia Bierlair, Shirley Patton and Karen Morris; and brothers, Eugene Dixon, Patrick Dixon, Elwood Dixon, and Robert Dixon.

Calling hours were at the Dunn-Quigley Funeral Home in Stow, where a funeral service took place with Pastor James Case officiant.
