Janet I. (Harper) Tackett

Owner of Tackett's Towing

Janet I. (Harper) Tackett, 72, died Nov. 16, 2012. 

She and her husband, Art, had been the owners of Tackett's Towing since the 1970s, and she was a soldier in the Salvation Army Home League. Janet enjoyed Thursday mornings with the ladies of the Home League.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Art; parents, Hazel and Walter Harper; and siblings, Margaret Anderson, Leona Ferguson, Walter Jr., Gerald, Jack and Roger Harper.  She is survived by daughter, Rhonda (Robert) Wiggins; son, James (Dorothy) Tackett Sr.; grandchildren, James Tackett Jr., Raquel and Ryan Wiggins; and brothers, Tom, Richard, Gene and Gale Harper. 

Visitation and service were at the Redmon Funeral Home with Major Cynthia Foster of Salvation Army of Akron officiating. Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army, 190 S. Maple St., Akron 44302.
