American Liver Foundation Elects Chalfant to BoardFebruary 13, 2008
Cleveland, Ohio February 13, 2008 " The American Liver Foundation Ohio chapter, has elected Robert E. Chalfant to its Board of Directors, effective February 7, 2008. Mr. Chalfant, who was raised in Stow, holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Bachelors degree in electrical engineering from Ohio University. His long and distinguished track record in business includes several years in senior-level sales and marketing positions. He is now the Chief Executive Officer of The MetalWood Bat Company in Eleanor, West Virginia. Recognized as an "urban pioneer" by Crain's Cleveland Business in 2005, Mr. Chalfant has taken leadership roles with numerous industry and professional groups. He is the past president of the Harvard Business School Club of San Diego and of the San Diego chapter of the Sales and Marketing Executives International. The American Liver Foundation Ohio chapter was founded in 1983 as the Northern Ohio Chapter. In 2004 the service area was expanded to include the entire state of Ohio. The Ohio Chapter balances caring for people today with funding research to protect people tomorrow. A.L.F. provides education and outreach, along with support groups for liver disease patients and their families.
