Bob Evans Sells its BEST for Make-A-WishJuly 9, 2007
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
CLEVELAND, Ohio (July 9, 2007)- The Bob Evans Restaurant, located at 3489 Hudson Drive in Stow, Ohio, has teamed up with 43 other Cleveland-area Bob Evans Restaurants for a city-wide summer fundraising effort to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The Stow Bob Evans Restaurant will be hosting a rummage sale Thursday, July 26 through Saturday, July 28, 2007 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. "This is a great way for our entire restaurant to be involved with our fundraising efforts," said General Manager Steven Ryan. "Donating items to sell for Make-A-Wish is a great way our employees can contribute. We already have some treasures ready to sell." "Bob Evans Special Touch, or BEST as it is often referred to, is the company's internal initiative designed to encourage and reward employees for going above and beyond expectations of coworkers, partners, stockholders, customers and the communities in which we do business," explains Area Director Jim Carroll. "We hope this partnership with Make-A-Wish will give our employees the opportunity to give their BEST to their communities. Last year, the Cleveland-area Bob Evans Restaurants raised almost $100,000 to support the Northeastern Ohio Chapter of Make-A-Wish and we'd like to raise even more money this year." In addition to the rummage sale, all Cleveland Bob Evans Restaurants will be participating in Make-A-Wish Thursdays. Bob Evans' employees and Make-A-Wish volunteers will distribute fundraising certificates to friends, family and customers inviting them to dine on Thursday, June 28 & Thursday July 12, 2007. Ten percent of sales from guests with a certificate presented will be donated. Make-A-Wish Stars will also be available for purchase at Cleveland locations through Thursday, August 9, 2007. All Star proceeds will benefit Make-A-Wish. Since 1980, the Make-A-Wish Foundation has enriched the lives of children with life-threatening medical conditions through its wish-granting work. The Foundation's mission reflects the life-changing impact that a Make-A-Wish experience has on children, families, referral sources, donors, sponsors, and entire communities. Comments
