Weekly services -- First Christian Church of Stow's Sunday services include worship in the chapel at 8:30 a.m., Christian Education classes for all ages from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. and worship in the sanctuary at 10:45 a.m.

Youth groups for sixth- through 12th-graders meet each Sunday from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Nursery care is provided during all services.

Kindergartners through fifth-graders begin worship in the sanctuary and then attend their own "Junior Church" after the Children's Sermon time.

Communion is shared each week during both worship services.

Methodist Church

Rummage sale -- The church will host a rummage sale at First United Methodist Church May 3 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

There will be 10 rooms filled with toys and games, children's clothing, clothing for men and women, shoes, records, cassettes, videos, handbags, jewelry and accessories, housewares, books and furniture. All profits benefit the mission projects of the United Methodist Women group at the church. Because of space, organizers request that attendees not bring strollers.

* Dr. Joseph Daniels of Detroit will perform an organ concert at the church May 4 at 4 p.m.

The program will include Sowerby's "Pageant" and "Carillon," three fantasy pieces by Vierne, the late organist of Notre Dame in Paris, a sonata by Mendelssohn, Bach's "Prelude and Fugue in D Major," the Nocturne of William Albright and the first movement of the Widor "Symphony #6. A free will offering will be taken and child care will be available.

Worship times -- The Stow Community United Church of Christ hosts church services at 10:30 a.m.

Children's Sunday school begins after the children's sermon. Nursery care is available for children 4 and under. The chancel choir will sing under the direction of Jerry Busby.

The Adult Sunday School class meets Sunday before worship from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m.

The class is studying the Gospel of John, and meets in the parlor. The Friendship Group is studying Max Lucado's "In the Grip of Grace." The group meets on the lower level.

* A spaghetti supper is scheduled for May 16 from 4 to 7 p.m. The cost to attend is $6.50 for adults and $3 for children 12 years old and younger.

* A service of healing prayer is scheduled for May 18 at 11:45 a.m. All are welcome.

Presbyterian Church

Attic Sale -- The church will host an attic sale May 10 from a.m. to 2 p.m. Concessions and bake sale will be available. Proceeds benefit summer mission trips to South Dakota, Alaska and West Virginia.

* Sunday service times are as follows: contemporary at 8:15 a.m.; traditional at 9:30 a.m.; and blended at 10:45 a.m.

* A new adult course, "Amazing Grace: History and Theology of Calvinism," will address the 16th Century church and the start of the Protestant Reformation. The class will meet Sundays at 9:30 a.m., starting June 1.

* Sunday school is at 9:30 a.m. for children and teens. Adult Bible fellowships are available at 8:15 and 9:30 a.m.

* Power Lab VBS, a week when kids will discover Jesus' power, will take place June 16 to 20 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. The program is free and open to the community. Register online or by calling the church.
