At the First Energy Intercollegiate April 26 at Windmill Lakes Golf Club, Stow-Munroe Falls graduate Doug Underwood, a freshman on the University of Akron men's golf team, scored a hole-in-one.
Using a seven-iron on the par-3 191-yard No. 14, Underwood watched from the tee as the ball rolled in the cup.
His rounds of 70 and 74 placed 11th individually. Akron is scheduled to compete in the Mid-American Conference Tournament May 1 through 3 at Longaberger Golf Course in Nashport.
