The All-School Musical at Stow-Munroe Falls High School this year is "Aida," a musical version of the story of Romeo and Juliet put to rock music with a setting in ancient Egypt.
Cynthia Jahn is producing and directing; Brian Monroe is the orchestra director; and Jerry Dolson is the technical director.
Upcoming production dates are April 25 and 26 at 7 p.m. Tickets are $7 for general admission and $10 for reserved.
The nearly 60-member cast is led by Kevin Klemm, Hannah Drake, Wilda Koré, Alex Popovici, Steven Kaminski, Merry Schueneman, Chris Barnes and Dan Peters.
The music was written by Elton John with lyrics by Tim Rice and book by Linda Woolverton, Robert Falls and David Henry Hwang. The vocal music director is sophomore Chad Pittman, assisted by sophomore Albert Talcott. The choreographer is senior Maria Perretta. The student directors are Erin Moore, Justin Covan and Kathrine Dannemiller. The producers are Bethany Davis, Leo Simpson and Katie Alsop. The set designer is junior Charles T. Corcoran, and the stage managers are Charles T. Corcoran, Scott Busic and Hannah Iovine. The scenic artists are Anastacia Rahe, Sam Waters and Liz Light.
