Sneaker show to raise money for local charity
Showcase first of its kind in Midwest
February 22, 2008 " Sneakerheads from across the Midwest will gather Saturday, March 1 to display their shoe collections and to raise money for a great cause.
"The Midwest has such a sneaker following, it just makes sense to host a shoe show in Cleveland," said Kevin Kramer, co-chair of the Cleveland's Got Sole Sneaker Showcase. "Plus we have the chance to raise money for the Finish Line Youth Foundation, which supports local programs that encourage kids to be active."
Kramer was raised in Stow.
The shoe show will run from 12-4 p.m. at the Holiday Inn at Rockside Road and I-77. The show will have more than 30 table displays of limited shoe collections and music by DJ Terry Urban.
General admission for the shoe show is $5. Attendees can purchase raffle tickets at the show for $5 each to enter to win the following rare shoes:
Autographed, game-worn cleats of Cleveland Browns player Josh Cribbs
Autographed, game-worn cleats of Cleveland Browns player Braylon Edwards

The Velvet Dog at 1280 W. 6th St. in Cleveland will host an after-party, featuring DJ Terry Urban with performances by ILL Style Rockers & The Cavaliers B-Boys beginning at 10 p.m. on the second floor of the club for all shoe show attendees.
