Gwendolyn Matthews has been named the Chief Executive Officer of Hope Homes, a non profit organization supporting adults with developmental disabilities and other special needs. Providing services across Ohio, Hope Homes is headquartered in Stow, Ohio, and is related to the United Church of Christ and the Presbyterian Church (USA). Ms. Matthews will provide direction to the 23 homes and two day centers operated by Hope Homes, and lead a staff of nearly 200.
During her fourteen years with Hope Homes, Ms. Matthews has held positions as Assistant Supervisor and Supervisor, Service Director and Human Resources Director. Immediately prior to her assuming her new responsibilities, since January, 2007, Ms. Matthews has been the Acting Executive Director.
The promotion took place at the December 12 meeting of the Hope Homes Board of Directors.
