Stow -- 'Tis the season for turkey, smashed redskin potatoes and cranberry compote.
Joshua's Restaurant at Stow-Munroe Falls High School is hosting its annual Holiday Buffet, featuring a variety of menu items prepared by culinary arts and catering program students.
"We are going to have some amazing food," said chef Shelley Giangaspero, who has been a part of the Holiday Buffet for three years as a teacher in the Six District Educational Compact.
She said the two-day buffet will include menu items such as turkey; short ribs on Dec. 12; and turkey and veal Dec. 13.
Throughout the year, Joshua's is open only for lunch, but it opens for dinner each year for the Holiday Buffet. The restaurant will serve turkey, pork loin and roast beef Dec. 13, with a seating at 6 p.m. and another at 7 p.m. Lunch will be served both days from 10 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
Other items on the holiday menu include soup, mashed potatoes, creamed corn, green beans, stuffing, cranberry compote, salads, desserts and rolls.
Also, the restaurant will provide takeout items, including an assortment of pies. Giangaspero said she is looking forward to the buffet. "People will find the quality of this buffet is much higher than any other buffet in the area," she said.
Joshua's is located in the northeast wing of the high school on Graham Road.Reservations can be made by calling 330-689-5213.
