Bulldog bowlers sweep Solon
The Stow-Munroe Falls bowling teams pulled off another sweep Feb. 1 at Roseland Lanes in Oakwood as the Bulldogs got past Solon.
The Bulldogs boys improved to 14-2 on the season with a 2,504-2,110 win over the Comets.
Jeff Syme turned in the best series of the match with 446 (226-220) and Tyler Meredith scored the high game of the match with a 242 in the second game.
Stow went 2-of-3 in Baker games vs. the Comets, but the outcome was never in doubt.
The Stow boys junior varsity team also scored a 2,049-1,789 over Solon.
As for the Stow girls, they also scored an easy win over the Comets 2,117-1,721.
Shauna Jones produced the high game (195) and series (367) of the match.
Stow scored victories all three Baker games to improve to 14-2 on the season.
Both Bulldog squads were set to return to Roseland for a match against Twinsburg Feb. 4, but results were not available at press time.
The Stow girls were also set to roll at the NOC Invitational at Roseland Feb. 5.
Both teams will close out their dual match seasons Feb. 8 at 4 p.m. at Sto-Kent Lanes vs. Hudson.
