HENRY L. SWANSON Member of St. Stephen Lutheran Church Henry L. Swanson, 56, of Stow, died Jan. 31, 2010, after a four-month battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born in Akron, on Jan. 24, 1954, to James and the late Elizabeth Swanson. Mr. Swanson was actively employed at Bridgestone Firestone Americas for 35 years as a systems analyst. He was an Eagle Scout and boys baseball coach in his younger years. He received an associate's degree in computer science and a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Akron. He was on the Firestone Golf League for many years and enjoyed his monthly poker game with friends. He was an 11-year member of St. Stephen Lutheran Church and volunteered in the nursery, usher team and counting teams. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lawrence and Ruth Swanson. He is survived by his wife, Paula (Brunson) Swanson and daughter, Nicole M. Swanson, both of Stow; sister Linda (James) Nixon and their daughter Jennifer; brother Robert Swanson; aunt Rose Sesler of Canal Fulton; sisters-in-law, Beverly (Donald) Watson and Connie Markulin of Indiana; niece, Brittany (Tim) Thomas and their sons Kolton and Kade of Akron; nephew PF2 Bryan Brunson U.S. Army National Guard of Stow; and cousins, co-workers, friends and neighbors Viewing and a service took place at The Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home in Cuyahoga Falls, the Rev.
