Drew fundraiser on Oct. 1
will donate money to charity
The Committee to Elect Sara Drew is donating all the money from its upcoming fundraiser to charitable organizations in the Stow area.
The event is Oct. 1 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Gavin Scott Salon and Spa, 4960 Darrow Road, Stow.
It will be hosted by Drew, who is seeking re-election for a Stow City Council at Large position.
Complimentary mini spa services and refreshments will be available to those who attend.
Instead of campaign donations, people are asked to consider making a gift of $25 to one of these organizations:
Mobile Meals, which delivers meals to homebound people throughout Northeast Ohio including Stow;
Humane Society of Greater Akron, which provides adoption services for animals among its numerous programs;
The fund for the S.O.A.R. [Stow Outdoor Accessible Recreation] playground, a facility accessible to children regardless of their abilities that is located at Silver Springs Park in Stow; or
Open M, a ministry in Akron that supports families in need, provides meals and cares for the sick.
All donations will be collected the night of the event and forwarded to each organization.
