1973 Stow High graduate
George Sonoff III "Georgie," died May 5, 2009, in Fort Myers, Fla. after a long battle with liver cancer.
He was born Sept. 28, 1955, in Barberton. He graduated from Stow High School with the class of 1973. He moved to Florida, where his career in the construction business allowed him to make a wealth of friends.
He is survived by his wife, Patty Sonoff; his parents, Nora and Carl Guenther of Stow and George and Shirlee Sonoff of Surfside Beach, S.C.; sisters, Lisa Sonoff-Phillips of Louisville, Ky., and Dena Sonoff-Simpson of Surfside Beach, S.C. He is further survived by three nieces, a nephew and other relatives.
Memorials may be sent to Hope Hospice, 9470 Healthpark Circle, Fort Myers, Fla. 33908 in memory of George Sonoff III.
