Robert R. Peters, 87, died May 24, 2009.

Born in Berea, he was an area resident for more than 50 years and a US Army veteran of World War II. Mr. Peters was a member of St. Eugene Catholic Church and the Stan Hywet Orchid Society.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years Rita; son Raymond Peters of Stow, daughter Sandra Rich of Stow; son and daughter-in-law Dave and Dianne Peters of Kent; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and brother Leonard Petrykowski.

Visitation was at Redmon Funeral Home with Mass of the Christian Burial celebrated at St. Eugene Catholic Church, Fr. Neil Crosby celebrant. Burial was in Northlawn Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to Friends of the Stow-Munroe Falls Public Library, 3512 Darrow Road, Stow 44224.
