Autism organization plans spring workshops
Milestones Autism Organization will conduct a spring workshop series for family members, caregivers, tutors or others interested in learning effective strategies for playing, communicating and interacting in a home with children who have communication and/or behavioral challenges. It is at Garfield Park, 7967 Mentor Park, Mentor. Cost is $30 per person per workshop or $45 for a group of 2 per workshop.
* ABA everyday during play is March 22 from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. Behavioral strategies to use in the home during play. Learn to engage your child in fun, interactive activities and to use play to target social, communication or academic skills.
* Be Prepared: Practical behavior plans is April 5 from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. Learn to encourage positive behaviors and reduce inappropriate ones in a proactive plan.
* Tools for Encouraging Communications is May 3 from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. Learn how to use a variety of visual supports; create motivation to communicate; encourage communication in the natural environment. For reservations, call 216-371-4765.
