Summit Metro Parks offers the following upcoming events:

* The fifth-annual Spree For All will take place through June 30 at various locations.

Visitors of all ages, health levels and physical abilities can enjoy this award-winning hiking series. Complete at least five hikes -- on five different trails, the same trail or any combination of trails -- to receive hiking rewards. Hikes must be completed between by June 30.

Rewards are free to Summit County residents. Out-of-county residents pay to receive their hiking rewards ($10 for first-year hikers, $5 for veteran hikers).

Hiking forms and the list of trails are available at summitmetroparks.org, the visitors center at F.A. Seiberling Nature Realm (1828 Smith Road in Akron), the park district's administrative offices (975 Treaty Line Road in Akron) and by calling 1-800-23-SUMMA. Spree For All is presented by Metro Parks, Serving Summit County and Summa Health System.

* Music by the Lake will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. at Munroe Falls Metro Park, 521 S. River Road in Munroe Falls, on the following Tuesdays: June 10, July 8 and Aug. 5.

Enjoy an evening of free lake swimming and a one-hour performance by the Metro Parks Ensemble. The concerts start at 6:30 p.m. and Friends of Metro Parks will serve free desserts while supplies last.

The concert will be canceled if it rains. If wet weather is forecast, call 330-865-8060 for the concert's status after 4 p.m. on the day of the event.

* Pops 'n More is scheduled for 7 to 8:30 p.m. on the following Thursdays: June 12, July 10 and Aug. 7.

Enjoy a family night out with kids' activities from 7 to 7:30 followed by an hour of live music at Firestone Metro Park / Coventry Oaks Pavilion, at 40 Axline Ave. in Akron.

The Akron Pops Orchestra will perform June 12 and July 10. The Metro Parks Ensemble will perform Aug. 7. The Friends of Metro Parks will serves a free dessert while supplies last.

* A Summer Celebration will take place June 14 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Munroe Falls Metro Park, 521 S. River Road in Munroe Falls, and at Silver Creek Metro Park, 5000 Hametown Road in Norton.

Celebrate the summer with a free day of lake swimming. Excluding the Summer Celebration, a daily admission fee or season pass is required during swim season, May 24 to Aug. 24. Regular daily admission is $4 for adults and teens (ages 13 and older), $3 for children. Kids under 2 are admitted free. For more information, call 330-865-8065.

* The STOMP Bicycle Adventure is set for Aug. 30 from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Cuyahoga Valley National Park / Howe Meadow, 4040 Riverview Road in Peninsula.

STOMP (the Summit Tour of Metro Parks) is one of the largest cycling events in Northeast Ohio.

Registration starts at $20 per person and includes a light breakfast, lunch, live music and more.

All cyclists are required to wear helmets. Riders younger than 16 must be accompanied by adults. Registration is limited to 1,600 participants.

STOMP is a fundraiser to benefit Citizens for Metro Parks.

* The 45th annual Fall Hiking Spree will take place from Sept. 1 through Nov. 30 at various locations.

Hike at least eight designated trails to receive a hiking reward.

Hikes must be completed between Sept. 1 and Nov. 30.

* The Fall Family Outing is set for Oct. 4 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Goodyear Heights Metro Park, 2077 Newton St. in Akron, and at Silver Creek Metro Park, 5000 Hametown Road in Norton.

Fall into autumn fun with free hayrides, bonfires, naturalist-led activities, live music, apple cider, cookies and more.
