The Kimpton competitive cheerleading squad has completed its 2007-08 competition season.

The squad finished first at the OROC competition at Stow-Munroe Falls High School and also at the Americheer competition at Highland High School.

The cheerleaders took second at the Great Lakes competition at the John S. Knight Center, fourth place at the Winter Classic competition at the Canton Civic Center and third place at the COA National competition in Columbus.

The squad, containing both seventh- and eighth-graders, is coached by Nicole Hamilton.

"The squad did an outstanding job this year and worked very hard, practicing four to five times a week," said Hamilton.

Tryouts for the 2008-09 Kimpton cheerleading squad will take place in May.
