Baptist Church

Service times -- Sunday School takes place at 9:45 a.m. for all ages, with worship at 11 a.m. Sunday evening worship takes place at 6 p.m.

First Christian
Church of Stow

New class -- A yearlong class, "Overview of the Bible," is offered Sundays from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. All are invited to join in this review of the Bible, with the first unit covering Genesis through Deuteronomy.

There also are four other Adult Sunday School classes, and classes for pre-school students through high school students.

* First Christian Church of Stow's Sunday services include worship in the chapel at 8:30 a.m., Christian Education classes for all ages from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. and worship in the sanctuary at 10:45 a.m.

Youth groups for sixth- through 12th-graders meet each Sunday from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

Nursery care is provided during all services.

Kindergartners through fifth-graders begin worship in the sanctuary and then attend their own "Junior Church" after the Children's Sermon time.

Communion is shared each week during both worship services.

Fishcreek Nazarene Worship Center

Services -- The church's Sunday Worship times are: Fishcreek School of the Bible at 9 a.m.; and Sunday morning worship at 10:45 a.m.

* Men's Basketball for those ages 15 and up takes place every Tuesday from 8 to 9 p.m.

* Visit the church Wednesdays for dinner from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Donations will be accepted. At 6:30, the church will host a time of worship, devotions and prayer.

Crafts group -- Holy Family's newest group, Christ's Crafters, meets at 1 p.m. on Wednesdays in the Lower Church Hall.

Members of the group get together for fellowship and crafting.

* SwordS, a youth Bible study program, meets Wednesdays at 7 p.m. in the Lower Church Hall, Room 3. Men's Bible study meets at 7:30 a.m. on Saturdays in the Lower Church Hall, Room 1.

* The church offers babysitting during the 9:30 a.m. Sunday Mass. Kindergartners through second-graders are invited to a special Children's Liturgy of the Word during the same Mass.

Stow Alliance Fellowship

Sermon series -- Stow Alliance Fellowship Pastor John Kitchen presents a sermon series, "That You Might Believe -- Studies in John 1-12," Sundays at 9 and 10:30 a.m.

Nursery care and Sunday school programs are available for all ages.

* Stow Alliance Fellowship is offering a special Sunday School DVD series, "The Truth Project," produced by Focus on the Family. Come to consider what it means to have a biblical worldview.

* Sunday Evening Worship opportunities are available through Life Groups -- small group meetings that provide fellowship opportunities and Bible-based studies in homes throughout Stow.

* Wednesday nights at 7 p.m., the church hosts Awana for kids and activities for teens and adults.

* Special Easter Services at 9 and 10:30 a.m. will be filled with a variety of music from Casting Crowns, Israel Houghton, Aaron Shust and Handel's "Hallelujah Chorus."

* Wednesdays at 6 p.m., the church offers a "Souper Wednesday" meal for a nominal fee, followed by 7 p.m. activities for kids (Awana), teens and adults.

United Church of Christ

Worship times -- The Stow Community United Church of Christ hosts church services at 10:30 a.m. Children's Sunday school begins after the children's sermon. Nursery care is available for children 4 and under. The chancel choir will sing under the direction of Jerry Busby.

The Adult Sunday School class meets Sunday before worship from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m.

The class is studying the Gospel of John, and meets in the parlor. The Friendship Group is studying Max Lucado's "In the Grip of Grace." The group meets on the lower level.

Presbyterian Church

New building addition -- The church invites all to a dedication of its new building addition April 27. The church will host a community open house and ministry fair from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Information booths, guided building tours and refreshments will be available.

* The church will host a booth at the 2008 Community Showcase April 12 and 13 at Stow Munroe Falls High School.

* Sunday service times are as follows: contemporary at 8:15 a.m.; traditional at 9:30 a.m.; and blended at 10:45 a.m.

Youth group -- The youth group "Delirious" meets Wednesday nights in the South Sanctuary for worship, fellowship and a relevant message.

Christian Church

Sunday School -- Bailey Road Christian Church hosts Sunday school for classes of all ages at 9:30 a.m. and a 10:45 a.m. worship service.

* The church also offers a "Just for Christ" event from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Sundays, which includes music, games, Bible study and snacks for pre-kindergarteners through eighth-graders.

* A new contemporary worship service is scheduled to take place Sundays at 7 p.m.

First Church
of Christ, Scientist

Special project -- A "Read the Bible in a Year Project" is under way at the Christian Science Reading Room. The public is invited to join church members of First Church of Christ, Scientist as they read through the Bible in one year. Visit www.forministry.com/usohcocscfco1 to view the daily readings.

An informal discussion group will meet on the second Saturday of every month to discuss the previous month's readings.

Participants can join in at any time and bring along notes or reference materials to share, or just come to listen.

First United
Methodist Church

Drama -- "Crucified," a musical passion drama by the 45-member Epworth Youth Choir, will be performed at the church March 30 at 7 p.m. in the church sanctuary. Also on the program will be a variety of anthems, all a part of the program the choir has presented in churches in Ohio, Kentucky and Tennessee during its weeklong concert tour during Spring Break.

A free-will offering will be taken to help defray expenses of the tour. Child care will be available.

Meeting -- "What it means to be Catholic" is the topic for the next "Come and See" meeting April 1 at 7 p.m. in St. Martha Parish's McKeever Hall.

The speaker will be Joyce Kelleher, former secretary for Catechesis for the Diocese of Cleveland.

Following the presentation, there will be small discussion groups to address a variety of subjects including the speaker's topic, prayer, the Sacraments, Bible basics, dealing with illness and bereavement, and divorce, annulments and remarriage.

The monthly "Come and See" programs are sponsored by the Summit District parishes of the Diocese of Cleveland.

They are intended for people who have questions or concerns about the Catholic faith or for anyone who wants to learn more about the church and its teachings.

Free literature and a lending library are available. Refreshments will be served. There is no cost, and reservations are not required.
