Munroe Falls -- Someone broke into Kimpton Middle School sometime during the night March 16 and ransacked a portion of the building, but nothing was damaged or taken during the incident. Police reported the building's locked doors were not breached during the break-in, when someone opened several lockers and left their contents strewn across the hallways of the first and second floors. According to the report, it was unclear how the break-in occurred. Police also found computers in the school library that had been tampered with, according to the report. The computer mice were disconnected and found tied to iron railings on the second floor of the school. No computers or mice appeared to be damaged, according to the report. Additionally, police reported newspapers that had been tied in bundles were opened and scattered in the hallways. Police are investigating. Warrant March 14. Warrant executed: Akron Police arrested a 40-year-old Akron man March 14 on a warrant from Munroe Falls Police for driving under suspension and improper license plates. Munroe Falls officers picked up the man in the Summit County Jail after Akron Police contacted the department, according to the report. He is scheduled to appear in Cuyahoga Falls Municipal Court. Dog at large March 4. Dogs run loose: Police warned a North River Road woman not to let her dogs run loose following two complaints made from residents about the animals. Police found the two dogs, which were running along Hiwood Avenue and Lindsey Road between 11:08 a.m. and 12:25 p.m. One of the animals bared its teeth and snarled at an officer, though the dog did not attack, according to the report. The woman who owns the dogs picked them up after receiving a call from police. No charges were filed. Criminal Mischief March 12. Syrup poured on resident's car: A Luden Avenue man found what appeared to be chocolate syrup on his vehicle March 12. The estimated damage to the vehicle was $50, according to the report.
