Suspected cocaine, gambling items found in vehicle

Stow -- Police arrested a 47-year-old Danforth Reserve man and charged him with possession of cocaine, driving under suspension, failure to use a turn signal and gambling following a traffic stop at the corner of Fishcreek and Stow roads Jan. 23.

Police reported officers stopped the man for failing to use a turn signal.

During the investigation, police say the man was found to be driving under suspension and to be in possession of suspected cocaine.

Officers also found $4,394 in cash and a black ledger book police believe were being used for gambling.

The man is scheduled to appear in Cuyahoga Falls Municipal Court.

Child endangering

Jan. 26. Man accused of endangering child: Police arrested a 41-year-old Cleveland man and charged him with child endangering, operating a vehicle while intoxicated and failure to pass a breathalyzer test following a traffic stop on Darrow Road.

According to the report, police believed the man was intoxicated, and when he took a breathalyzer test, he failed.

Police reported the man also had a small child, age unknown, in the vehicle.

The man is scheduled to appear in Cuyahoga Falls Municipal Court.

Possession of drug paraphernalia

Jan. 26. Traffic stop results in arrest: Police arrested a 27-year-old Mac Drive man and charged him with possession of drug paraphernalia and driving under suspension following a traffic stop on Hudson Drive.

According to the report, police stopped the vehicle because the man was found to be driving under suspension. During the investigation, officers found suspected drug paraphernalia on the man.

He is scheduled to appear in Cuyahoga Falls Municipal Court.

Disorderly conduct

Jan. 26. Man accused of spitting in another man's face: Police arrested a 24-year-old Broadview Heights man and charged him with disorderly conduct following an incident in a Kent Road bar.

According to the report, a 32-year-old Munroe Falls man said he attempted to stop the Broadview Heights man from arguing with another bar patron.

The Munroe Falls man told police the Broadview Heights man spit in his face when he attempted to intervene. The patron was not charged, according to the report.

The Broadview Heights man is scheduled to appear in Cuyahoga Falls Municipal Court.

Possession of drugs

Jan. 25. Traffic stop leads to drug charges: Police arrested a 22-year-old Akron man and charged him with possession of drugs following a traffic stop on Steels Corners Road.

According to the report, officers stopped the vehicle because they believed it looked "suspicious." During the investigation, police found suspected marijuana, according to the report.

The man is scheduled to appear in Cuyahoga Falls Municipal Court.

Theft

Jan. 29 -- CDs taken from vehicle: A 40-year-old Silver Lake woman told police someone entered her vehicle while it was parked in the Stow-Munroe Falls High School's parking lot between 6:40 and 9:19 p.m.

According to the report, a CD carrying case containing 100 CDs was stolen.

It was not reported whether the vehicle was locked.

The total value of the items was $1,010, according to the report.

Jan. 24. Trailer taken from parking lot: An Aurora man told police someone stole his 2006 black trailer while it was parked in the parking lot where he works.

According to the report, the man parked the $700 trailer at the site Dec. 1 and noticed it was missing Jan. 21.

Police are investigating.

Criminal damaging

Jan. 24. Vehicle damaged during the night: A Mac Drive woman told police someone scratched a derogatory word into her vehicle while it was parked in her apartment complex parking lot during the night.

According to the report, the woman found the damage after clearing snow from her vehicle.

The damage to the vehicle was not reported.

Criminal mischief

Jan. 27. Paper towels, toilet paper thrown on yard: A Telber Court man told police someone threw paper towels and toilet paper on the trees in his yard and on the lawn sometime during the night.

Police found footprints in the snow leading from the man's home to a dead end at Hammontree Circle, but the footprints disappeared after that point, according to the report.
