Stow police are investigating an attempted robbery at Chase Bank at 4499 Kent Road on Monday afternoon.

Police say a white male, described as having a thin build and approximately 5 feet 4 inches tall, entered the Chase Bank at 2 p.m., approached a teller and demanded a large sum of money. The man quickly fled when the teller responded that she did not have it. He was last seen running eastbound on Kent Road.

Stow police officers and agents from the FBI responded to the scene.

Officers searched the area, but the male was able to leave the area without being apprehended. No weapon was seen and no injuries were reported.
