Cuyahoga Falls City Council member is new clerk of courts for Stow Municipal Court

Cuyahoga Falls City Council member Diana Colavecchio is the new clerk of courts for the Stow Municipal Court.

At a meeting at Cuyahoga Falls High School tonight, the Summit County Democratic Central Committee selected Colavecchio to replace Lisa Zeno Carano, who resigned from the post effective Dec. 31. Zeno Carano's six-year term would have expired Dec. 31, 2015.

Colavecchio, an attorney who practices in Cuyahoga Falls, was also sworn into office at the meeting tonight by Stow Mayor Sara Drew. She will serve in the position until the November election, when the unexpired term would be on the ballot.

Zeno Carano is now working as a court administrator with the Summit County Court of Common Pleas Probate Division, working under Judge Elinore Marsh Stormer.
