Stow, Munroe Falls see little impact from yesterday's snow storm

by Jeremy Nobile | Reporter Published:

No serious accidents or traffic disruptions were reported in Stow or Munroe Falls during yesterday's snow storm.

Street crews in both municipalities were out in full force during the morning and afternoon as Winter Storm Euclid dumped roughly less than 6 inches of snow in the local area -- which is only about half as much as was forecasted.

No serious injuries from traffic accidents were reported in either city.

"We were anticipating a lot more accumulation based on the forecast, so we built up for a much larger snowfall than we ended up getting," said Stow Public Service Director Mike Miller. "If the storm kept going into today, we might be talking differently."

Stow Police Sgt. Steven Dunton noted a parking ban currently remains in effect until 9 p.m. tonight as crews finish minor cleanups.
