FirstEnergy spokesperson Mark Durbin has reported that power was restored for residents experienceing outages just before 1:30 p.m.
He said the issue was not the recloser but a problem with electrical lines that had crossed and have been fixed.
About 500 FirstEnergy Corp. customers in Stow were without power today.
Durbin earlier confirmed power went out around 10:30 a.m. this morning for several hundred residents near an area between Fox Run Drive and Call Road in the northeast region of the city.
At that time, it was thought to be a problem with a device known as a recloser that acts as a circuit breaker and closes electrical lines when the unit identifies a fault in the line.
