Looking for laughs? Love farce? Want to find out what "women of a certain age" do when confronted by an elderly, silver-tongued "stud" or a kind and thoughtful retired chemist who's developed a pill to help them out?

Then get your tickets now for the Stow Players production, 'Sex Please We're Sixty,' opening March 10, and running through March 25. Show times are 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and the Sunday matinee on March 12 is already sold out; Friday, March 17, is also sold out.

Mrs. Stancliffe's Rose Cottage Bed & Breakfast has been successful for many years. Her guests (nearly all women) return year after year. Her next-door neighbor, the resident chauvinist Bud "the Stud" Davis (Al Klesh), believes they come to spend time with him in romantic liaisons. The prim and proper Mrs. Stancliffe (Lorena Goold) denies this, but doesn't really do anything to prevent it.

She reluctantly accepts the fact that "Bud the Stud" is, in fact, good for business. Her other neighbor and would-be suitor Henry Mitchell (Tom Stephan) is a retired chemist who has developed a little blue pill to increase the libido of menopausal women. The pill, however, has not been tested.

Add to the guest list three other women: Victoria Ambrose (Pat Robertell-Hudson), a romance novelist whose personal life seems to be lacking in romance; Hillary Hudson (Tammy Carder), an old friend of Henry's; and Charmaine Beauregard (Pam Daerr), a "Southern Belle" whose libido does not need to be increased.

Hot flashes! Mood swings! Weeping and irritability! When the mayhem settles down, all the women find their lives moving in new and surprising directions. "Sex Please We're Sixty" is directed by Bill Morgan, assisted by stage manager Anne Guffey.

All Stow Players shows are produced at the Heritage Barn in Stow's Silver Springs Park (Young Road entrance only). General Admission is $13; Seniors and students $10. For reservations or information call 234-206-0128. Tickets at the door are cash or check only. Visit www.stowplayers.net for more information.
