It's hard to believe that it's been 21 years since the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame opened its doors in September 1995. To celebrate its 21st, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is throwing a 90's style birthday bash on Saturday, Sept. 3, 2016 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. with live music featuring the band Old Skool, food trucks, games, and, of course, a selection of Magic Hat Brewing Company beers on tap.
Partygoers can enjoy free 90s festivities in the Rock Hall's new beer garden on the plaza. The Rock Hall is awarding prizes, including free tickets to the Cleveland National Air Show, which takes place Sept. 3-5, during a 90s rap battle, dance contest, and for those guests with the best throwback look. Included with museum admission, guests can watch the 90s rock comedy Wayne's World on the big screen in Foster Theater. Seating is available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Weekend festivities kick off Sept. 2 at 6:30 p.m. with the 4th annual Believe in CLE yoga party at the Rock Hall. The free event, presented by Inner Bliss yoga studio, includes a 60-minute Vinyasa yoga practice followed by a post-practice event featuring Fresh DJ Zosimo Maximo, drinks, appetizers, and dancing in the Rock Hall's new beer garden. The Museum will be open for guests as well. For more information visit www.believeincle.com.
As year 21 approaches, the Rock Hall is in the midst of a redesign featuring plaza updates, including the addition of a beer garden, seasonal outdoor stage, patio seating, rock boxes, and the upcoming installation of giant "Long Live Rock" lettering. The Rock Hall also has a new look to their interior with powerful imagery of the artists honored within and the redesign of their Museum store, which features a selection of new merchandise.
