4 THINGS TO DO THIS WEEK

1. WEDNESDAY MOVIES IN JULY:

Enjoy some popcorn and a movie on the big screen July 19 at the Stow-Munroe Falls Public Library, 3512 Darrow Road, Stow. Due to the terms of the license, the library can't advertise the title of the movie here. Call the library at 330-688-3295 ext. 4 to find out what's playing, or pick up a flier in the library.

2. CELEBRATE ITALIAN CULTURE JULY 21-23:

The ninth annual Festa Italiana will take place July 21, 22 and 23 at Falls River Square in downtown Cuyahoga Falls. Due to the reconstruction of Front Street, this will be the last event of the summer in the city's downtown. The event will happen July 21 from 5-11 p.m., July 22 from noon-11 p.m. and July 23 from noon-9 p.m.

Festa Italiana will feature authentic Italian cuisine, wine and Peroni Beer, bocce and morra games, live music and grape stomping. Entertainment will include Gianni Valerio from Italy, the Tuscan Trio, accordionist Mike Trecaso, the Italian Choral Group, Hard Day's Night and a Journey tribute band. Parking and admission is free

3. 'UNDER THE SEA'::

Dynamics Community Theater of Tallmadge presents "The Little Mermaid" on stage at the Tallmadge High School Auditorium, 140 N. Munroe Road, July 21, 22, 28 and 29 at 7 p.m.

Ticket cost $12 for adults, $10 for students and $10 for seniors ages 60 and older. All seats are reserved. Purchase tickets at the door or in advance by visiting Dynamics website at https://www.dynamicstheater.com/.

4. CONCERTS ON THE CIRCLE:

These free summer concerts take place on Saturday evenings from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on the Tallmadge Circle. Take a chair or blanket to sit on.

Akron Symphonic Winds -- July 15

The Akron Symphonic Winds has been formed as part of our Akron musician's union, a chapter of the American Federation of Musicians. It's goal is to offer admission-free concerts to the public throughout Summit, Medina, Wayne and Portage Counties. The band is comprised of local professional musicians who perform regularly throughout Northeast Ohio. Akron Symphonic Winds' mission is to bring high-quality, live music to the community, supporting music in the schools and reaching diverse audiences of all ages. They perform a wide-range of repertoire, including wind ensemble classic literature, light classics, show tunes, music from favorite movies and popular music for children.
