The Stow Munroe Falls Lions Club is busy getting ready for their "Race for Sight" fundraiser which will take place March 4 at the SYB Hall on Hudson Drive. The evening begins with a buffet dinner accompanied byraffles and sideboards. The main event is video horse racing with live commentary.
This is one of three major fundraisers which help the Lions Club support the many community activities that they participate in throughout the year.
Tickets are $25 per person, and the event is a sell-out every year. Check the Lions website smflions.com for information and to purchase tickets.
The Lions meet the second and fourth Tuesdays at On Tap in Stow at 6:30 p.m. with dinner followed by a meeting. On Feb. 28, there will be a presentation by Pastor Jim and Jeannine Case of Stow Community Church who will be talking about their 10-day mission trip to Tocoa, Colon, in the Central American country of Honduras.
Come to hear about their journey to The Village of Hope, an Open Ministries orphanage. Their ministry of work and play with the children will tug at your heart and give you hope for the future.
