The city of Cuyahoga Falls' annual Ice Rink Opening Day Celebration will take place at Falls River Square on Nov. 26.
"We are delighted to continue this holiday tradition for our residents," stated Mayor Don Walters.
The ice rink will open at noon for a full day of skating and entertainment for adults and kids of all ages, with the following events:
noon to 9 p.m.: Free admission to the rink all day. There is a charge for skate rental.
1:45 p.m.(estimated) Santa's arrival
2 to 6 p.m.: Visit with Santa inside of the Pavilion ~ bring your cameras. Children's activities inside of the Pavilion, including: holiday crafts, balloon art, face painting, tattoo art, a photo booth and cookie decorating.
2 to 4 p.m.: Ice sculpture demonstrations sponsored by the Cuyahoga Valley Art Center.
4 to 5 p.m.: Cuyahoga Falls Community Chorus
5:15 p.m. Community Tree Lighting Ceremony
The Snack Shack, operated by Sassy Dog, will be open daily during rink hours with hot beverages and snacks. The Ice Rink at Falls River Square is open Nov. 26 through Feb. 20, 2017.
