Stow mayor to dance in fundraiser for adolescent cancer program

Dancing for the Kids will take place Oct. 21 at the Akron Civic Theatre, 182 S. Main St. in Akron.

There will be a reception at 6 p.m. with the show at 7 p.m.

The event is a fundraiser for Akron Children's Hospital's Adolescent and Young Adult Cancer Program, located at the Showers Family Center for Childhood Cancer & Blood Disorders.

Featured dancers include Stow Mayor Sara Kline, Cuyahoga Falls Police Chief Jack Davis, Laura Engles, Breanna Coonce, Jerry Gootee, James Hardy, Dr. Dan Pettee and Mark Ratcliffe.

Judges will be William Considine, Justin Hilton and Don McCardle.

Tickets are $50 for priority seating; general admission is $25; and student/child admission is $10. A limited quantity of VIP stage tables for eight is available for a $1,000 sponsorship.
