Senior stomach pain topic of program

Dr. John Park, a gastroenterologist with Unity Physicians/Western Reserve Hospital, will speak at a free lunch & learn for area seniors on Sept. 9 at 11:30 a.m.

The program will take place at the Stow-Glen Retirement Village, 4285 Kent Road in the Cedar Hall community room.

He will be addressing the myriad of reasons an elderly person can have stomach pains. Abdominal pain is actually a common complaint among many older adults. The precise nature of the complaint may differ from patient to patient, but nearly 40 percent of older adults have one or more age-related digestive symptom each year.

The 2016 Stow-Glen Speaker Series, Lunching & Learning is a monthly luncheon at Stow-Glen Retirement Village designed to bring the seniors of the greater Stow area together for fellowship, lunch and an educational speaker.
