Hydrant flushing in Munroe Falls
The city of Munroe Falls will be flushing hydrants through Sept. 9. Residents are advised to check for possible sediment or discoloration during this time and allow water to run until clear before laundering. For questions, call City Hall at 330-688-7491.
Unused meds can be dropped off at police station
The Munroe Falls Police Department has added a D.U.M.P (Dispose of Unused Medications Properly) Box inside the Police Station Lobby at 43 Munroe Falls Ave. for the use by citizens. With the current drug epidemic in Summit County, and prescription medication being a serious problem especially with youth, the department would like to provide a safe and easy way for residents to dispose of unused medications. Here are the guidelines for using the box:
/ Keep the medicines in their original containers.
/ Mark out the name and address.
/ Make sure all lids are closed tightly.
/ Secure the medications inside a sealable plastic bag.
/ This box is for pills, capsules, or liquid medicines -- syringes cannot be accepted.
