The Summit County Juvenile Court and the Peace, Justice & Equality Committee will have activities for children and families to enjoy at the Aug. 20 Summit for Kids at the John S. Knight Center. The annual late summer event begins at 10 a.m. and concludes at 4 p.m. Admission and parking are free.
There will be more than 100 exhibitors offering schools supplies, services, community information and entertainment throughout the day. The Juvenile Court table will be located in the Main Exhibit Hall on the second floor. The Peace, Justice & Equality Committee will also have an activity available for kids in Hay Room A on the first floor of the Knight Center.
This year, the PJ&E Committee will offer a coloring book with justice and anti-bullying messages. The coloring book was illustrated by Firestone High School student Elijah Dority. There is also other artwork in the coloring book that was created by youth throughout Summit County.
"Summit for Kids has grown into one of the most family-friendly events on the Summit County community calendar," said Judge Linda Tucci Teodosio. "The exhibitors present so many diverse opportunities for our visitors."
