GriefCare Place

The GriefCare Place offers support groups that give those grieving the loss of a loved one by death the understanding of the grief process and encourages them that healing will come. All grief support groups are at no cost.

All groups will meet at The GriefCare Place at 4499 Darrow Road in Stow in the Keystone Vet building - entrance in rear. Call the office for further information and detailed directions at 330-686-1750 or email: griefcareplace@att.net Monthly meeting calendars are posted on the website, www.thegriefcareplace.org.

Individual grief counseling will not be available from through Aug. 15. Call the office for further information.

The GriefCare Place, serving grievers from 66 communities in Northeast Ohio, has been committed since 1997 to bring hope and healing to broken hearts caused by the death of a loved one.

Weekly Group

Sessions

Widowed Men's Group -- This group is designed for men who have experienced the death of a spouse. This group will meet on Aug. 8 at 7 p.m. and is led by Mike Farmer.

Bereaved Parents' Group -- This group is designed specifically for parents who have experienced the death of a child. This group will meet on Aug. 10 at 7 p.m. It will be led by Chris Campo who has experienced the loss of a child and understands what the grief experience is like for parents.

Save the Date: Sept. 13 will be the Ninth Annual Grapes & Gourmet Guys event.

Each year local celebrities create some of the greatest dishes for guests to sample, while bidding on a wide variety of silent auction items. This fundraising event is a unique and enjoyable experience. The event will be at St. George Family Center in Akron. Call to make reservations at 330-686-1750.
