The Zane's Foundation Board Members are busy preparing for the Seventh Annual Special Needs Awareness Walk & Fun Day that will be in Cuyahoga Falls on Sept. 10.
Cuyahoga Falls City Schools is the co-sponsor for this event which will take place at Bolich Middle School, 2630 13th St. The 1-mile awareness walk takes place throughout the community of Cuyahoga Falls; the Fun Day will be in the school's gym.
This annual Special Needs Awareness Walk allows Zane's Foundation Inc. to continue on its mission to provide services for children and adults with special needs here in Northeast Ohio. Zane's Foundation assists families in two ways: educational meetings for parents to attend to continue their education so that they can become the best advocate for their loved ones; and also quarterly funding for services such as summer and day camps, various therapies, communicative devices, medical expenses, respite care or assistive or adaptive equipment that are necessary to meet daily challenges. The ultimate goal of the Foundation is to help each individual reach their maximum potential to have the opportunity to become a contributing member of society.
Pre-registration is open now for the Walk for $15 which includes a goodie bag filled with free gift certificates and items from different area businesses.
